October 30th, 2011 – The Charlotte Hans Softball Challenge is an annual event that is held to benefit an employee of the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office who has been devastated by illness or a victim of a catastrophic event. Ryan Senkier is a 36 year old Deputy Sheriff
and a veteran of the US Army 82nd Airborne Infantry Division. Ryan has been battling
stage IV Appendiceal Adenocarcinoma (Appendix Cancer) since February of 2007.
Ryan has had multiple lifesaving surgeries and undergone multiple chemo and
radiation treatments. Once again, for the highest likelihood of survival, Ryan must face
two additional surgeries. Ryan’s PBSO family is asking for assistance in helping to
defray the costs of these medically necessary procedures. Gifts and donations will be
used in a raffle/auction with all proceeds going towards his medical expenses. The
tournament will take place on October 30, 2011, from 8:00am to 6:00pm at the Village
Park in Wellington, Florida. Anything you are able to donate would be greatly
appreciated. Donations that are being sought are items to be raffled, money for
medical expenses, and items such as bounce houses and face painting. The Enforcers
Foundation of the Palm Beaches is supporting this event along with Sheriff Bradshaw.
Thank you in advanced for anything you can do for the heartfelt event.
